Hunter horses are known for their consistency and smooth gaits. They glide around their courses, and are judged on their suitability to be a hunting horse, mainly focusing on their jumping style and their movement. Each division consists of two over fences classes, and one flat class (Under Saddle). Ideally, you want your hunter to have a low knee action, for better movement scores.
