There are 12 main stats in the game that influence how a horse performs in shows.

Every horse starts out with a 0 in each of these stats. They can improve these stats through training, up until a maximum value. This maximum value is determined by your horse's genetics that correspond with jumping or dressage. Higher genetic quality animals are more likely to have their stats max out at 30, which is the highest number any stat can achieve!

The 6 dressage stats are:

• Rhythm
• Relaxation
• Connection
• Straightness
• Impulsion
• Collection

The 6 jumping stats are:

• Speed
• Confidence
• Adjustability
• Balance
• Bascule
• Power

Stat Maxes

The stat maxes are loosely based on the horse's genes for that discipline. In fact, every stat has a corresponding gene pair that it looks at! Horses that have an Excellent gene pair are more likely to have a stat maximum for the corresponding stat that is 30, and vice versa for a Poor gene pair.

Gelding

Gelding your horse can improve the stat maxes! So if you have a poor quality gelding, you may want to consider this in order to turn them into a better competitor.
