Training

Training horses is how you can improve their Stats, and move them up the levels! Each of the training areas is set up such that your horse progresses through the levels, unlocking new training tasks every time they complete a level.

Horses can be trained once per day and in only one of the four schooling areas. So choose wisely, or you may have wasted a training session! All of the discipline schooling areas are designed to be completed in 56 training sessions, or 8 real weeks.

Horse Playground
The Horse Playground is meant for foals and young horses, and teaches them basic skills they will need before being a riding horse. All horses must complete all 7 levels of the Horse Playground before progressing onto other types of schooling.

Dressage Schooling
Here you can train your dressage horses all the skills they will need to succeed in their sport! The training tasks for each of the levels can be found under Dressage.

Jumping Schooling
Here you can train your jumping horses to jump the big jumps! The training tasks for each of the levels can be found under Jumping.

Eventing Schooling
Here you can train your eventing horses bravery on cross country, finesse in the dressage ring and carefulness in the jumping arena! The training tasks for each of the levels can be found under Eventing.

Hunter Schooling
Here you can train your hunter horses to float around the ring with their lovely daisy-cutter movement! The training tasks for each of the levels can be found under Hunters.

Choosing A Discipline

So you bought a horse, now what? How do you decide which of the three disciplines it is best suited for? Well, there's a few methods!

Inspection
You can take your horse to an Inspection, and follow the instructions outlined here to determine what your horse's best discipline is. Then, start training!

Stat Assessment
If you purchased a Pre-trained Horse, you will notice that they already have some stats! If you look at their total stats at the time of purchase, you can get an idea of what their best discipline might be. Then, you can start training them for that discipline!

Parents
If you just had a newborn foal, sometimes you can predict what their best discipline might be based on what their parents did. It's not a foolproof method, but can definitely give you a direction to go!
